BERBURU BABI : KAJIAN ANTROPOLOGIS TERHADAP PERMAINAN RAKYAT MINANGKABAU SEBAGAI SALAH SATU PEMBENTUK IDENTITAS BUDAYA DI SUMATERA BARAT

This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with interview and library research as the technique of observation in order to study, figure, describe and analyze the wild boar hunting in the society of Kabupaten Agam especially in Kecamatan Tanjung Raya Maninjau and Kecamatan Matur.Wild boar hunting is a kind of game exist in whole West Sumatera territory and the people still like and perform it nowdays, either by villagers as the founder of it orby citizen who like to do so. The main purpose of this game is to help the farmer of the villages in the wild boar. The unique point of this game is one the performer that take part it on, beside man as the main performer, the hand dog also have a grea contribution in performing this game. The wild boar that they get in this hunting is not to be consumed, but they us to their dogs.
