Abstract
This thesis evaluates derivational and inflectional morphemes in tourism booklet of West Sumatera. The objectives of this study are to investigate the typesof morphemes which are used in tourism booklets,to find out the use of morpheme that is used in tourism booklet, to find out the dominant function of morphemes which are applied in tourism booklets. To analyze them, the tourism booklets of West Sumatera were taken as the sample of this descriptive research. The data analysis was presented based on types of morphemes and functions, then the data were put into the table showing the types, and functions. The number, percentage and the most dominant function. The finding indicates that the total numbers of morphemes from tourism booklets of West Sumatera are 743. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that the types of morphemes are used in tourism booklet of West Sumatera; they are 29, 1% (216) Derivational Morphemes and Inflectional Morphemes 70, 9% (527). And the dominant function of morphemes in the Tourism Booklet of West Sumatera is plural marker 46, 9% (247). And the use of morphemes that is researched in tourism booklets, through learning morpheme that can improve and building Vocabulary.
