Abstract
This research aims to improve the interest of students of the fifth class in SDN 101896 Tanjung Morawa in learning social science by applying Numbered Heads Together. There are 38 students as subjects of this research. This research has two cycles of PTK that each of which consists of 4 steps: they are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Based on the result, in first cycle and first meeting: 11 persons (29%) are uninterested, 27 persons (71%) have little interest and none has much interest. In first cycle and second meeting: 3 persons (8%) are uninterested, 28 persons (74%) have little interest and 7 persons (18%) have much interest. While in second cycle and first meeting: 14 persons (37%) have little interest, 24 persons (63%) have much interest and there aren’t anymore persons who are uninterested. On the second cycle and second meeting: 7 persons (18%) have little interest and 31 persons (82%) have much interest in studying Social Science. The conclusion, the applying of Numbered Heads Together can improve the interest of students of the fifth class in SDN 101896 Tanjung Morawa in studying Social Science.
