PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED INSTRUCTION UNTUK MENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENGANALISIS UNSUR INTRINSIK NOVEL‘MENGGAPAI MATAHARI’ KARYA ADNAN KATINO PADA MAHASISWA JURUSAN BAHASA DAN SASTRA INDONESIA FBS UNIMED TAHUN PERKULIAHAN 2011/2012

Research Research Grant is motivated by one of the sub-study course materials fiction the novel analyzes that must be mastered students. Competence achieved students who want to analyze the intrinsic elements of the novel. However, the fact that learning occurs in analyzing the intrinsic elements of the novel is less optimal students competence in analyzing the intrinsic elements of the novel. Based on this phenomenon ebut ters, the team raised the alternative solutions, models and strategies that improve learning by applying learning model that is intended to optimize the quality of student understanding and ability to analyze the lecture material intrinsic element of the novel. Method used is the method of Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subjects were student of Indonesian language and literature education four semesters ta school year 2011/2012 as many as 39 people. From the analysis of the data obtained by applying the average value model of Problem Based Instruction 82,21 which in categorized competent and ability to analyze the intrinsic elements of the novel prior to the application of the Problem Based Instruction is 70,59. while the average value of learning outcomes after the implementation of Problem Based Instruction Model is 96, 49 categorized very competent. By results it can be concluded that the application of problem based learning model Instruction students are able to apply the model of Problem Based Instruction and can increase our learning analyze novel intrinsic element in the students Indonesian language and literature majors and FBS Unimed Medan T P 2011/2012.
