Abstract

Mangupa is one of ceremonial in Tapanuli Selatan wedding ceremony. The society of Batak Tapanuli Selatan face mangupa as the important ceremony in Batak Tapanuli Selatan society if they come from the rich family and have a son they will make Horja Godang (big party) in their son wedding party.This paper aims at investigating the types of taxonomic relations of Hata Mangkobarkon Pangupa Di Na Haroan Boru in Tapanuli Selatan. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. There are three texts analyzed representing of the elements of the society of the wedding party included suhut, kahanggi and mora. Based on the analysis of the data the findings showing that there are 5 types of taxonomic relations found, they are repitition, synonym, contrast, class and part in the texts of Hata Magupa. The most type which often appear is repition. It shows that the words become the topic of the research.
