LANGUAGE STYLE IN KINGS SPEECH MOVIE

This study deals with the types of language style in Kings Speech movie. The objectives of the study are to find out the types of language style, the most dominant type of language style, and reason the dominant language style in script. The research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected from the script of Kings Speech movie and seven scenes were taken, there were three hundred and thirty nine dialogues uttered by Bertie. The findings showed that there are five types of language style found in Kings Speech movie, they are: Frozen, Formal, Consultative, Casual, and Intimate. Consultative is dominantly used because it is central point in the system dialogue of language style and typically of this style is dialogue.
