Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode Eksperimenpada mata pelajaran IPA materi pokok Sifat-sifat Cahaya T.A 2014/2015.Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian tidakan kelas (PTK). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 107103 Lantasan Baru tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 38 siswa yang terdiri dari 21 siswa perempuan dan 17 siswa laki-laki. Penelitan ini dilakukan selama 2 siklus yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan berganda sebanyak 20 soal pada materi sifat-sifat cahaya yang diberikan sebanyak 3 kali yaitu pretest, Post test siklus I dan Post test Siklus II serta lembar observasi digunakan untuk menilai aktivitas guru dan siswa. Dari hasil penelitian, pada saat pretest diperoleh nilai rata-rata klasikal siswa sebesar 38,42 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal sebesar 5,27% atau sebanyak 2 orang siswa tuntas. Namun pada siklus I dengan menggunkan metode eksperimen terlihat adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata klasikal siswa menjadi 56,20 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal sebesar 47,37% atau sebanyak 18 orang tuntas yang masih tergolong dalam kategori kurang. Sedangkan aktifitas mengajar guru (peneliti) berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan guru kelas V pada siklus I tergolong baik yaitu 77,27%. Pada siklus II, terlihat peningkatan hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya nilai rata-rata kelas. Rata-rata kelas yang pada siklus I sebesar 56,20 meningkat menjadi 82,11 yang sudah tergolong dalam kategori sangat baik. Aktifitas mengajar yang dilakukan guru (peneliti) juga mengalami peningkatan dari 77,27% menjadi 88,63% dan tergolong sangat baik. Bagitu pula dengan aktifitas siswa yang mengalami peningkatan dari 63,89% menjadi 81,58%.Dengan demikian berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunan Metode Eksperimen dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi pokok Sifat-sifat Cahaya di kelas V SD Negeri 107103 Lantasan Baru T.A. 2014/2015. Sebagai tindak lanjut disarankan oleh guru untuk dapat merancang dan menggunakan metode Eksperimen dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa.
