Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk hasil belajar IPA siswa menggunakan metode Inkuiri dikelas V SD Negeri 056000 Kampung Baru. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri 056000 Kampung Baru yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Penelitian ini terdiri dari II siklus. Siklus I dan Siklus II. Sebelum dilakukan siklus I peneliti memberikan pretes untuk mengetahui letak kesulitan pada materi perubahan sifat benda dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas V SD Negeri 056000 Kampung Baru. Kemudian dilakukan siklus I dan siklus II. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode inkuiri dengan instrumen peneliti berupa soal pilihan berganda yang terdiri dari 10 butir soal. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan pretes maka dapat diketahui bahwa dari 30 orang siswa, yang mendapatkan hasil belajar rendah (tidak tuntas) yaitu sebnayak 30 orang siswa (100%) dan tidak ada siswa (0%) yang masuk dalam kategori hasil perubahan sifat benda di kelas. Berdasarkan dari 30 orang siswa, hasil belajar post tes pada siklus I diperoleh data yang masuk dalam kategori hasil belajar tinggi (tuntas) yaitu sebanyak 13 orang siswa (43%). Jika dibandingkan dengan hasil pretes yang dilakukan oleh peneliti pada siklus I (setelah diberi perlakuan pada siswa) maka dapat dikatakan berhasil sebab masih diperoleh data siswa yaitu sebanyak 17orang (57%) yang belum mencapai hasil belajar baik (belum tuntas), oleh karena itu data hasil belajar pada siklus I digunakan sebagai acuan untuk melakukan tindakan pada siklus II. Berdasarkan analisis data pada siklus II diperoleh bahwa dari 30 orang siswa memperoleh nilai > 65 sebanyak 28 siswa atau (93%) dikatakan tuntas belajar dan terdapat 2 atau (7%) orang siswa belum tuntas, secara klasikal 93% siswa yang mengalami ketuntasan belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas disimpulkan sebagai berikut dengan penerapan metode inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Dari hasil observasi dapat dilihat adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang pada tes awal nilai rata – rata siswa 0% dan pada siklus 1 nilai rata – rata siswa menjadi 43% dan pada siklus ll diperoleh nilai rata - rata siswa sebesar 93%. Dengan penerapan metode inkuri terjadi perubahan yang nyata terhadap hasil belajar siswa terlihat dari perbedaan siswa yang mengalami perubahan mulai dari tes awal 3 orang siswa yang tuntas dan siklus ll sebanyak 29 orang siswa yang tuntas. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS pada materi masalah-masalah sosial di lingkungan setempat di Kelas V SD Negeri 056000 Kampung Baru Tahun Pembelajaran 2012/2013
