Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk mengetahui hasil belajar Matematika siswa yang diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran TTW dan hasil belajar Matematika yang diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran STAD, (2) untuk mengetahui hasil belajar Matematika antara siswa dengan kemandirian tinggi dan hasil belajar Matematika siswa dengan kemandirian rendah, dan (3) untuk mengetahui interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan kemandirian siswa terhadap hasil belajar Matematika. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri Kota Tanjungbalai. Kelas yang dipilih adalah kelas X. Sampel penelitian ditetapkan sebanyak 108 orang yang terdiri dari kelas X-2 pada SMA Negeri 1, X-1 pada SMA Negeri 2 dan dan X-7 pada SMA Negeri 3 Tanjung Balai. Teknik penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian untuk mengukur hasil belajar digunakan tes berbentuk pilihan berganda dengan 5 pilihan jawaban dengan jumlah soal sebanyak 40 dengan koefisian reliabilitas 0,948. Sedangkan untuk mendapatkan data tentang kemandirian siswa digunakan angket dengan jumlah 38 butir dan koefisien reliabelitasnya 0,885. Uji normalitas dengan uji Liliefors sedangkan uji homogenitas dengan uji Bartlett. Teknik analisis data adalah Anava dua jalur pada tarag signifikansi α = 0,05 yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Tuckey. Hasil penelitiannya adalah : (1) rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran TTW = 30,0 lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran STAD = 24,4 dengan Fhitung = 58,7 > Ftabel = 3,888, (2) rata-rata hasil belajar siswa dengan kemandirian tinggi = 29,1 lebih tinggi daripada hasil belajar siswa dengan kemandirian rendah = 25,4 dengan Fhitung = 26,6 > Ftabel = 3,888, dan (3) terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan kemandirian terhadap hasil belajar matematika dengan Fhitung = 75,53 > Ftabel = 3,936 Dari hasil analisis data disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran yang tepat digunakan pada siswa dengan karakteristik kemandirian tinggi adalah strategi pembelajaran TTW sedangkan siswa dengan kemandirian rendah strategi pembelajaran yang tepat digunakan adalah strategi pembelajaran STAD. Implikasi dari penelitian ini secara khusus ditujukan kepada guru matematika yaitu dalam penerapan strategi pembelajaran harus memperhatikan karakteristik siswa khususnya karakteristik kemandirian.
