Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksankan di SD Negeri 060879 Medan. Jenis penelitian ini adalahpenelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswadengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dalam pelajaran IPAmateri pokok energy panas dan bunyi di kelas IV SD Negeri 060879 Medan.Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 060879 dengan subjek 30orang siswa tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Pelaksanaan PTK ini dilakukan dua siklus, setiapsiklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, refleks idan evaluasi. Masing-masing dilaksanakan 2 kali pertemuan. Alat pengumpul data yangdigunakan adalah dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan angket yang meliputiaktivitas guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakandengan memakai analisi data persentase. Adapun masalah yang ditemukan dalampenelitian ini adalah 1) kegiatan pembelajaran masih kurang mengaktifkan siswa, 2) siswakurang memahami konsep energy panas dan bunyi, 3) guru hanya menggunakan metodesecara konvensional yang kurang mengajak siswa untuk aktif dalam pembelajaran,4)rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa.Penelitian ini menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw untukmeningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi energy panas dan bunyi. Hasil penelitianini menunjukkan bahwa observasi motivasi belajar siswa pada saat siklus I pertemuan Idengan rata-rata 23,33% jumlah siswa yang termotivasipada setiap indikatormenunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar masih sangat rendah. Pada siklu I pertemuan IImotivasi belajar belajar siswa dengan rata-rata 56,66% dalam kategori sedang tapi sudahmengalami peningkatan. Sedangkan pada siklus II pertemuan I secara keseluruhan 66,66%siswa termotivasi dan pada siklus II pertemuan II secara keseruhan mencapai 80%. Makadapat dikatakan bahwa pada siklus II motivasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatandibandingkan kondisi pada siklus I.Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan modelpembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalampelajaran IPA materi pokok energy panas dan bunyi di SD Negeri 060879 Medan T.A2011/2012. Hal ini berarti bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapatdigunakan sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran IPA
