Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar MekanikaTeknik dengan membandingkan Model Pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) dan Pembelajaran Konvensional serta melihat karakteristik siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi dan motivasi belajar rendah dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Teknik Gambar Bangunan dengan jumlah 53 orang yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen untuk perlakuan dengan Model Pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) yaitu kelas Teknik Gambar Bangunan 1 sebanyak 26 orang dan kelas kontrol untuk perlakuan dengan Pembelajaran Konvensional yaitu kelas Teknik Gambar Bangunan 2 sebanyak 27 orang. Sebelum penelitian ini dilakukan instrumen penelitian terlebih dahulu di ujicobakan, dilanjutkan dengan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Uji validitas butir tes digunakan rumus korelasi biserial. Uji reliabilitas tes digunakan rumus KR-20. Instrumen tes hasil belajar mekanika teknik yang valid diperoleh 23 butir dari 30 butir tes yang di ujicobakan, dan koefisien reliabilitasnya sebesar 0,94.Teknik pengambilan sampel secara random dengan metode dan rancangan penelitian eksperimen desain Anava 2 x 2. Variabel penelitian memenuhi persyaratan normalitas dikaji dengan uji Liliefors dan memenuhi persyaratan homogenitas dengan uji Barlett. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan Model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan Pembelajaran Konvensional dengan ditunjukkan Fhitung = 13,551 > Ftabel = 4,038 pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah dengan ditunjukkan Fhitung = 11,917 > Ftabel = 4,038. Serta terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan model pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar mekanika teknik. Diperoleh Fhitung = 4,429 > Ftabel = 4,038. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa 1). Model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) dan Pembelajaran Konvensional memberi pengaruh yang berbeda secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mekanika teknik, 2). Tinggi rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa memberi pengaruh yang berbeda secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mekanika teknik, 3). Terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar siswa dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar mekanika teknik.
