Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kompetensi PDTO siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori pada siswa kelas X program keahlian teknik kendaraan ringan SMK Swasta PAB I Helvetia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Teknik pengumpulan data dijaring dengan menggunakan test objektif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas X program keahlian teknik kendaraan ringan SMK Swasta PAB I Helvetia tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X program keahlian teknik kendaraan ringan SMK Swasta PAB I Helvetia Medan yang terdiri dari 4 kelas yang berjumlah 125 orang. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 2 kelas yang merupakan bagian dari populasi dan dipilih secara acak. Kelas yang dipilih menjadi sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X TKR I dengan jumlah 30 siswa dan kelas TKR II dengan jumlah 31 siswa. Kelas X TKR I diterapkan model pembelajaran STAD (kelas eksperimen) sedangkan X TKR 2 diterapkan model pembelajaran Ekspositori (kelas kontrol).Pengujian normalitas data digunakan uji Liliefors pada taraf kepercayaan (&#945;) sebesar 0,05. Pada model pembelajaran STAD diperoleh Lhitung= 0,0890 dan Ltabel = 0,161 , maka diperoleh Lhitung(0,0890) < Ltabel(0,161) pada kategori normal, dan pada model pembelajaran ekspositori Lhitung = 0,0783 dan Ltabel = 0,161 maka diperoleh Lhitung(0,0783) < Ltabel(0,161) pada kategori normal. Untuk menguji homogenitas antara dua kelas yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini digunakan uji barlett pada taraf kepercayaan (&#945;) 0,05 diperoleh fhitung = 1,004 dan ftabel = 1,881, maka fhitung(1,004) < ftabel (1,881) dan disimpulkan bahwa varians sampel adalah homogen. Digunakan uji-t pada taraf kepercayaan &#945; =0,05 untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian diperoleh, thitung = 2,973 dan ttabel = 1,671. Sehingga thitung > ttabel dan diambil kesimpulan bahwa hasil belajar PDTO siswa yang diajar dengan strategi Pembelajaran STAD lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran Ekspositori. Dengan hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen = 84,67 dan kelas kontrol = 77,93.
