Abstract

Kendaraan merupakan salah satu alat transportasi yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan manusia untuk beraktivitas dalam kehidupan sehari – hari. Salah satu kendaraan yang paling banyak dipergunakan dalam kehidupan sehari – hari adalah mobil. Komponen mobil yang sangat penting peranannya adalah kopling, yang berfungsi untuk memindahkan daya dari enjine ke roda belakang secara perlahan tanpa terjadi hentakan. Putaran yang berasal dari enjine yang ditransmisikan melalui poros memerlukan penghubung. Untuk menggabungkan kedua poros tersebut diperlukan suatu bagian mesin yang dinamakan kopling.Sistem Kopling yang dirancang adalah sistem kopling mobil Suzuki Katana yang termasuk dalam kendaraan keluaran tahun rendah. Mengingat pada kondisi bahwa sparepart untuk kendaraan seperti ini sudah jarang didapat di pasaran, untuk itulah kopling ini dirancang untuk dapat memenuhi kebutuhan kopling dipasaran. Komponen yang direncanakan adalah Poros, Plat Gesek, Spline dan Naff, Pegas, Baut dan Bantalan.Hasil perencanaan sistem kopling mobil Suzuki Katana dengan daya 50 Hp dan putaran 5500 Rpm diperoleh ukuran – ukuran komponen yang nantinya dapat dipergunakan sebagai acuan oleh para pengguna mobil Suzuki Katana. Sehingga nantinya para pengguna mobil Suzuki Katana lebih mudah untuk mengganti sparepart sistem kopling mobilnya yang rusak.
