Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan awal,pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif dan pengaruh interaksi antara kemampuan awal dan model pembelajaran kooperatif terhadap hasil belajar kimia siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 11 Medan Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 6 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil secara purposive sebanyak 2 kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancanganpenelitian factorial 2 x 2, dimana ada dua factor yang akan diteliti yaitu factor kemampuan awal siswa (A) dan factor model pembelajaran kooperatif (B). Untuk factor A ada 2 taraf yaitu kemampuan awal rendah dan tinggi. Sedangkan factor B ada 2 taraf yaitu model pembelajaran kooperatif NHT dan model pembelajaran kooperatif STAD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT yang mempunyai kemampuan awal rendah memberi rataan ( ̅ = 0,39 ± 0,03) dan kemampuan awal tinggi ( ̅ = 0,49 ± 0,05) dan siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD yang mempunyai kemampuan awal rendah memberi rataan ( ̅ = 0,35 ± 0,03) dan kemampuan awal tinggi ( ̅= 0,41 ± 0,03). Uji hipotesis dilakukan pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dengan analisis varian. Hasil analisis penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Fhitung (A) diperoleh 71,42 sedangkan Ftabel = 4,02 , karena Fhitung > Ftabel maka Ho ditolak berarti ada pengaruh kemampuan awal terhadap hasil belajar kimia siswa. Selanjutnya Fhitung (B) diperoleh 35,57sedangkan Ftabel 4,02 , karena Fhitung > Ftabel maka Ho ditolak berarti adapengaruh perbedaan model pembelajaran kooperatif yang digunakan terhadaphasil belajar kimia siswa. Selanjutnya Fhitung (AB) diperoleh 7,69 sementaraFtabel = 4,02 , karena Fhitung > Ftabel maka Ho ditolak berarti ada pengaruhinteraksi antara kemampuan awal dan model pembelajaran kooperatif terhadapnilai hasil belajar kimia.. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkanbahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT lebih efektif meningkatkan hasilbelajar siswa dibanding dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD.
