The Implementation of Quizlet in Teaching Reading Narrative Text at Nur Ihsan Junior High School

This research aimed to investigate the implementation of Quizlet in teaching
reading comprehension of narrative texts to Grade VIII students at Nur Ihsan Junior
High School. The data were collected through classroom observation, teacher
interviews, and documentation. The findings showed that Quizlet was used in three
stages of reading instruction. In the pre-reading stage, the teacher used the
Flashcards feature to introduce important vocabulary before students read the text.
In the while-reading stage, the Match and Quizlet Live features helped students
learn new vocabulary, understand the story, and work together with their
classmates. In the post-reading stage, the Test feature and Quizlet Live were used
to check students' understanding of the narrative text and review the vocabulary
they had learned. In conclusion, Quizlet can be used effectively in the pre-reading,
while-reading, and post-reading stages to support students' vocabulary learning,
classroom participation, and reading comprehension. However, good internet
access and alternative learning materials are needed to ensure the teaching process
runs smoothly.
