Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine student learning outcomes, student motivation and relationship motivation and learning outcomes using problem-based learning models and audiovisual media. The population in this study were all grade X students of SMA 5 Pematang Siantar. The research sample was chosen by random sampling as 2 second classes, namely the control class and the experimental class. The control class is treated with a conventional learning model. Experimental class with the Bsed Learning problem model and audiovisual media. Each class has 35 students. The instruments used in this study were test and non-test instruments. The form of the test instrument is a multiple choice consisting of 20 valid and reliable questions with a reliability of 0.88. The form of the non-test instrument used was a validated questionnaire to measure student motivation. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the results of the pretest and posttest in the control class and the experimental class are normally distributed and homogeneous. And the learning outcomes of the 82.14 post-test experimental class and the control class were 61.87. Hypothesis testing with a significance level of 0.05 on student learning outcomes obtained 11.10> 1.71 which means that Ha is accepted. So that learning motivation is obtained tcount> ttable, which is 10.6923> 1.71 which means that Ha is accepted. Correlations obtained r count> r table, i.e. 0.4307> 0.334 Ha accepted.
