Nepenthes or semar bags are endemic plant species of Indonesia. This plant is spread on several islands in Indonesia, including in North Sumatra, especially Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This study aims to determine the relationship of Nepenthes plants in Dolok Sanggul and Bakti Raja Subdistricts, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra. This research was conducted in Dolok Sanggul and Bakti Raja Subdistrict, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra. The population in this study was all Nepenthes plants in the Dolok Subdistrict, Bakti Raja District.
While the samples in this study were thirteen Nepenthes plants, six plants from Dolok Sanggul District and seven from Bakti Raja District. This type of research is descriptive. The method of obtaining data is done by looking at the characteristics of the pockets by adding information from previous researchers about Nepenthes plants. Data analysis was performed using scoring
morphological data from descriptions to binary data. Zero score (0) if the trait is not found in a plant and score one (1) if the trait is owned by the plant observed. The level of similarity between individuals is analyzed using clusters or clusters. Cluster analysis is done manually using the Numerical Taxonomy Similarity Index. The relationship analysis results in the form of a dendogram, and it was concluded that in general there was no difference between Nepenthes plants.
