DEVELOPING ENGLISH LISTENING MATERIALS FOR THE ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF BROADCASTING PROGRAM AT SMK BBC MEDAN

The aim of this study was to develop english listening materials for Grade XI students of Broadcasting Program. This study was conducted by using Research and Development (R&D) design through six stages; gathering information and data, analyzing data, designing materials, validating by experts, revising, and final product. The subject of the study was grade XI of SMK BBC Medan. The data were gathered by administering interview to English teacher, students and distributing questionnaire to 14 respondents to get the students’ need. The questionnaire and interview result prove that the students’ need English Listening Materials which can motivate and encourage the students to listen the recording. The materials has been validated by experts. The result of the materials was a book and CD.
