Abstract

This study presents a research conducted on applying students perception on Reading Module. The objectives were to termine the types of reading texts that are suitable to be learnt by students of FKIP UNITA in Reading I subjects, to find out the reasons of using module for Reading I subject. The sources of data were taken from the responses of students upon the questionnaire given to them. The questionnaire was distributed to students of FKIP LTNITA. Based on the obtained information the data were analyzed. It was found that text types which are suitable to be taught through Reading I subjects are narrative, descriptive, recount, procedure and explanation, the text types should be started from narrative continued with description, recount, procedure and explanation. And Students percepted that they needed reading teaching material. Module is a printed teaching
