Abstract

This study aims to find out cognitive levels of questions and the distribution of higher order thinking skill in English textbook Pathway to English for Tenth Grade Students based on Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. This study was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method. The data of this research were all the questions containing in the Pathway to English textbook for Tenth Grade Students of General Program. The result of this study were the questions in the textbook are not covered all of the cognitive levels, they were Remembering (53,7%), Understanding (32,6%), Applying (3,4%), Analyzing (2,9%), Evaluating (7,4%), and Creating (0 %) and the distribution of higher order thinking skill is lower than the distribution of lower order thinking skill.
