Description:

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui : (1) perbedaan hasil belajar biologi siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran discovery, siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw, dan siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran tradisional; dan (2) perbedaan tingkat keterampilan sosial siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran discovery, siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw, dan siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran tradisional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Swasta PGRI 2 Medan pada tahun pelajaran 2009/2010. Metode yang digunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan populasi penelitian siswa regular SMP kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 2 kelas eksperimen dan 1 kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan uji analisis covarians (Anacova), serta uji lanjut Tukey. Perhitungan persyaratan analisis dengan menggunakan program SPSS for windows versi 17,00. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar dari ketiga kelompok perlakuan pembelajaran (pembelajaran discovery, pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw, dan pembelajaran tradisional) yang berbeda signifikan. Hasil uji Post Hoc Tukey memperlihatkan bahwa pembelajaran discovery lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dengan P = 0,027 < 0,05 dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar biologi pada pembelajaran discovery (83,63) dan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar biologi pada pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw( 79,63). Pembelajaran dengan.menggunakan pembelajaran discovery lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran tradisional dengan P = 0,000 < 0,05, dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar biologi pada pembelajaran discovery (83,63) dan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar biologi pada pembelajaran tradisional (75,20). Keterampilan sosial siswa juga menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda dari ketiga kelompok perlakuan (pembelajaran discovery, pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw, dan pembelajaran tradisional) yang signifikan dilihat dari uji Anava Satu Jalur dengan F hitung 8,356 dan P (sig) = 0,000 dan P < 0,05. Uji Post Hoc Tukey memperlihatkan bahwa keterampilan sosial pada kelas pembelajaran discovery lebih baik dan pada kelas kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan kelas kooperatif tipe Jigsaw lebih baik dari pada kelas tradisional.

The aims of this research were to know (1)the difference of students biology achievement taught by discovery learning, type of jigsaw cooperative and traditional learning; and 2) the difference of social ability level of students that trained through discovery, type of jigsaw cooperative and traditional learning. This research was perfomed at Junior High School PGRI 2 Medan year of 2009/2010. The Method that used in this research was experimentQuation with regular student of Class Villas the research population in which consisting of 2 experiment classes and 1 control class. The data technique analysis was performed through covarians analysis test (Anacova), Post Test Tukey. The analysis requirement calculation was carried out by using SPSS Program for Windows 17.00 version. The result of the research showed that difference of study result from the three learning behaviour groups (discovery, cooperative of jigsaw and traditional) was existed significantly. The test result of Post Hoc Tukey showed that discovery learning was better than cooperative of jigsaw with P = 0,0027 < 0,05 with average value of biology result study on discovery learning (83,63) and average value of biology result study (79,63). The discovery learning was better than traditional learning with P = 0,0000 < 0,05, with average of biology result study on discovery learning (86,63) and on traditional learning (75,20). The social ability of the students was also showed the difference result from the three behavior groups (discovery, cooperative of jigsaw and traditional learning) significantly that can be seen from one path of Anava experiment with Fcount = 8,356 and P (sig) = 0,000 and P <0,05. Post Hoc Tukey proved that the social ability on discovery learning class was better than type of jigsaw cooperative; on the other hand, type of jigsaw cooperative was better than traditional class.
