Description:

Pembelajaran IPA khususnya biologi yang biasa didominasi guru beserta bentuk evaluasi yang lebih berorientasi pada hasil selama ini kurang memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk belajar aktif, baik fisik, mental, intelektual, maupun sosial (kelompok) untuk memahami konsep-konsep materi, guru menjadi pusat dan sumber belajar. Hal ini di sebabkan karena pembelajaran selama ini lebih terpusat kepada guru. Model pembelajaran STAD dan GI merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk pembelajaran IPA, sehingga diharapkan hasil belajar dan kecakapan sosial siswa meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai dengan jumlah 135 orang siswa. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik claster sampling dan selanjutnya melalui pengundian maka kelas X-1 terpilih sebagai kelas yang akan diberi perlakuan dengan pembelajaran STAD, kelas X-2 terpilih sebagai kelas yang akan diberi perlakuan dengan pembelajaran GI dan kelas X-4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil tes belajar biologi di peroleh dengan menggunakan tes, serta penilaian kemampuan kecakapan siswa menggunakan angket. Sebelum instrumen digunakan terlebih dahulu divalidkan. Hasil uji persyaratan menunjukkan sebaran data hasil belajar biologi adalah berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hipotesis penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan ANAVA dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey. Hasil ini menunjukkan: (1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan pembelajaran Konvensional; (2) Hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran GI lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran STAD dan konvensional;(3) Hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran STAD lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. kecakapan sosial siswa juga lebih baik. Hal ini terlihat dari respon siswa berdasarkan keempat indikatornya yaitu: bekerjasama sesama siswa dalam kelompok, tanggung jawab sesama siswa, mengemukakan pendapat dalam bentuk lisan dan tulisan, serta interaksi dan toleransi. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan GI sudah seharusnya menjadi salah satu alternatif bagi guru dalam menyampaikan pelajaran biologi.

This is caused because the learning far more centered on teachers. STAD and GI learning model is an alternative to learning science, so expect the results of students learning and social skills improved. This study is an action research done in class X SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan Serdang Bedagai by the number of 135 students. The research sample was taken with claster sampling techniques and further through the draw then the class X-1 was selected as the class to be treated with STAD learning, class X-2 was selected as the class to be treated with GI learning and class X-4 as control. The data studied biology test results obtained using the test, as well as the assessment of students ability to use inquiry skills.The validation process was donebefore the instrument is used. Same strict test results showed that the distribution of biological learning outcomes data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Research hypotheses were tested using ANAVA with Tukey test. These results showed:(1) There is a significant effect of student learning outcomes taught by cooperative learning model GI type with STAD cooperative learning model type, model type STAD cooperative learning with conventional learning, (2) learning outcomes of students who are taught by GI learning model better learning outcomes than students who were taught with STAD and conventional learning model, (3) learning outcomes of students who are taught by STAD learning model is better than the learning outcomes of students taught with conventional teaching. Social skills are also better students. This is evident from the responses of students based on four indicators, namely: cooperation in a group of fellow students, fellow student responsibility, express opinions in oral and written form, as well as interaction and tolerance. Cooperative learning model STAD and GI type should be one of the alternatives for biology teachers in delivering learning.
