Description:

The objectives of this study are: (1) to know Their achievement in Mathematics of students taught by using visual media and Their achievement as students taught by using Graphic media, (2) to know Their achievement of students in learning Mathematics having a highly need achievement in studying and Their achievement in Mathematics of having a poorly students need in studying achievement, (3) to know available or not an Interaction Between visual media and creative thinking skills on Their need achievement in Mathematics as a student. This study was conducted on the Private Elementary District Santa Maria Tarutung North Tapanuli in half-odd of studying year 2010/2011. The population totally 83 repondents. For taking samples was done in a cluster random sampling a total of 59 students comprising of 30 students of grade Ila to be teached by using visual media and another 29 students of grade III) to be teached by using graphic media. The need studying achievement test was conducted for classifying the students need upon a highly poorly achievement and need achievement. The research method adopted is experiment quasi with 2 x 2 factorial. The statistical test by using descriptive statistics, ANOVA with two lines with a significance rate a ------ 0:05 and continued to Scheffee test. It has been conducted an analysis with a normality test prior homogeniety test and test. The result of study showed: (1) Their achievement in Mathematics taught by using Visual Media is better than Their achievement rate in Mathematics taught by using Graphic Media with Feount = 11:07> = 4:02 on significance Ftabies rate a = 0.05, (2) the in studying Mathematics achievement by students having a highly need achievement is Their better than in studying Mathematics achievement by students having a poorly need achievement, 12:16 Fcount => F = 4:02 on big significance rate a = 0.05, (3) there is Interaction Between founded visual media and creative thinking skills on Their achievement in Mathematics, with Feount = 6.60> = 4:02 on significance Ftables rate a = 0.05. This That hypothesis showed visual media more acurate than the graphic media in improving Their achievement in Mathematics, and the students having a highly need achievement is Their better than in studying Mathematics achievement by students having a poorly need achievement.

The studying need achievement test was conducted for classifying the students upon a highly need achievement and poorly need achievement. The research method adopted is experiment quasi with factorial 2 x 2. The statistic test descriptive statistic by using ANOVA with two lines with a significance rate α = 0.05 and continued to Scheffee test. It has been conducted an analysis test prior with a normality test and homogeniety test. The result of study showed: (1) their achievement in Mathematics taught by using Visual Media is better than their achievement rate in Mathematics taught by using Graphic Media with Feount = 11.07 > Ftables= 4.02 on significance rate α= 0.05; (2) the achievement in studying Mathematics by students having a highly need achievement is better than their achievement in studying Mathematics by students having a poorly need achievement, Fcount = 12.16 > F big = 4.02 on significance rate α = 0.05; (3) there is founded interaction between visual media and creative thinking skill on their achievement in Mathematics, with Fcount = 6.60 > Ftables = 4.02 on significance rate α = 0.05.
