Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya motivasi belajar IPS pada materi pokok proklamasi kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia pada siswa kelas V. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPS pada materi pokok proklamasi kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia pada siswa Kelas V.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dimana setiap siklus dilakukan 2 kali pertemuan. Dalam setiap siklus dilakukan melalui 4 tahap, yaitu perencenaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Lokasi dan waktu penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas V SD Negeri No. 106205 Pasar Baru pada semester genap T.A 2013/2014 di kecamatan Teluk Mengkudu Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri 106205 Pasar Baru Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 28 orang siswa. Instrumen pengumpul data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil angket dan observasi yang di berikan dalam setiap siklus.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada siklus I tidak ada siswa yang termasuk kedalam kriteria sangat kurang, terdapat 8 orang siswa yang termasuk kedalam kriteria kurang, terdapat 11 orang siswa yang mencapai kriteria cukup, terdapat 9 orang siswa yang mencapai kriteria baik, dan tidak terdapat siswa yang mencapai kriteria sangat tinggi. Pada siklus II tidak ada siswa yang termasuk kedalam kriteria sangat kurang, tidak terdapat siswa yang termasuk kedalam kriteria kurang, terdapat 6 orang siswa yang mencapai kriteria cukup, terdapat 10 orang siswa yang mencapai kriteria baik, terdapat 12 orang siswa yang mencapai kriteria sangat tinggi.Dari hasil yang diperoleh dari 28 orang siswa dapat dilihat bahwa setelah dilakukannya tindakan padda setiap siklus terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran Role Playing dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS materi pokok Proklamasi kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia di kelas V SD negeri 106205 Pasar Baru Kecamatan Teluk Mengkudu kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Adapun saran peneliti dalam penelitian ini, kepada guru yang ingin menerapkan model pembelajaran Role playing sebaiknya mengaitkan materi pelajaran yag hendak dipelajari,sebaiknya penerapan metode pembelajaran role playing dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.Sebelum dilaksanakannya pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode role playing sebaiknya guru menyusun rencana pembelajaran dan skenario drama sebaik mungkin.Bagi peneliti selanjutnya yang melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas, sebaiknya melakukan penelitian secara tuntas dengan cara mengkombinasikan berbagai metode pembelajaran denagn memperhatikan pokok bahasan yang diajarkan
