Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 101877 Tanjung Morwa, penelitian diambil berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang akan diteliti dan peneliti melihat rendahnya motivasi belajar IPS siswa khususnya pada materi masalah sosial, serta guru kurang bervariasi menggunakan metode, sehingga siswa kurang termotivasi dalam belajar pada pelajaran IPS. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu.Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 40 orang T.A 2012/2013. Pelaksanaan PTK dilakukan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan angket, angket diberikan sebanyak 20 pertanyaan berbentuk daftar Checklist (√). Angket diberikan sebanyak 2 kali yaitu kondisi awal, dan kondisi akhir. Sedangkan observasi meliputi aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran yang terdiri dari 4 kali pada siklus I dan siklus II. Peneliti ini menggunakan model pembelajaran Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPS siswa pada materi masalah – masalah sosial. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari angket pada kondisi awal 55,75 % tergolong rendah dan kondisi akhir 90,53 % tergolong sangat baik. Sedangkan hasil yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi motivasi siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi pada siklus siklus I pertemuan I 48,53 % tergolong sangat rendah, pertemuan II 58,77 % tergolong rendah dan Siklus II pertemuan I 79,56 % mengalami peningkatan, siklus II pertemuan II 92,43 tergolong sangat baik. Kemudian hasil observasi kegiatan mengajar guru pada siklus I pertemuan I diperoleh skor 55,55 tergolong rendah, pada siklus I pertemuan 2 diperoleh skor 68,75 tergolong cukup. Dan pada siklus II pertemuan I diperoleh hasil observasi kegiatan mengajar guru sebesar 80,55 tergolong baik dan pada siklus II pertemuan 2 mengalami peningkatan sebesar 94,44 tergolong sangat baik.Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa IPS pada meteri masalah – masalah sosial di kelas IV SD Negeri 101877 Tanjung Morawa T.A 2012 / 2013.
