Abstract

Masalah yang diteliti dalam penelitian adalah rendahnya keterampilan menulis pantun di kelas IV SD Negeri 060820 Medan Kota Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis pantun siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PAIKEM di kelas IV SD Negeri 060820 Medan Kota Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 060820 Medan Kota Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012 dengan jumlah siswa yaitu 35 orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan hasil observasi terhadap kelas yang akan ditelti dan disetujui oleh kepala SD Negeri 060820 Medan Kota. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan dalam peneltian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus. Di mana setiap siklus dilakukan dua kali pertemuan. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang dilakukan untuk pengumpulan data peneltian ini adalah tes dan observasi. Sebagai tolak ukur keberhasilannya adalah apabila persentase ketuntasan secara klasikal yang dicapai yaitu > 75%.Setelah melakukan tindakan yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PAIKEM pada siklus I diperoleh 20 orang siswa terampil menulis pantun dengan persentase ketuntasan secara klasikal 60%, sedangkan nilai rata-rata secara keseluruhan adalah 63,77. Pada perolehan dari hasil tindakan siklus II keterampilan menulis pantun siswa secara signifikan meningkat sebanyak 30 orang siswa terampil menulis pantun dengan persentase ketuntasan secara klasikal 85,71%, sedangkan nilai rata-rata secara keseluruhan adalah 80,11. Sehingga secara keseluruhan persentase ketuntasan secara klasikal dalam keterampilan menulis pantun siswa di atas 75%. Pada siklus II selesai maka pembelajaran selanjutnya tidak dilakukan tindakan untuk siklus berikutnya karena sudah dikategorikan terampil. Pada siklus I, observasi untuk guru diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 87,50 yang tergolong kategori baik dan observasi untuk siswa diperoleh nilai rata-rata 84,38 yang tergolong kategori baik. Sedangkan pada siklus II menunjukkan bahwa observasi untuk guru diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 95 yang tergolong kategori sangat baik dan observasi untuk siswa diperoleh nilai rata-rata 93,75 yang tergolong sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran PAIKEM dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis pantun siswa di kelas IV SD Negeri 060820 Medan Kota Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012.
