Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, adapun masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kreativitas siswa pada mata Pelajaran Sains. Dalam hal ini, guru cenderung menggunakan metode ceramah dan berpusat pada buku serta memberikan catatan-catatan yang panjang. Guru jarang ataupun tidak pernah menggunakan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa mata pelajaran SAINS kelas IV SD Subsidi Budi Rahayu Percut Sei Tuan yang berjumlah 27 orang siswa, yang terdiri dari 17 siswa perempuan dan 10 siswa laki-laki. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus, setiap siklus ada 2 kali pertemuan yang terdiri dari 4 tahap tahap yaitu 1) tahap perencanaan, 2) tahap pelaksanaan, 3) tahap pengamatan, 4) tahap evaluasi, dan tahap refleksi.Untuk memperoleh data dilakukan melalui test dan observasi dengan alat pengumpulan data seperti lembar observasi untuk siswa dan guru serta test sebagai bahan evaluasi diakhir setiap siklus yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan kemampuan siswa dalam mengembangkan kreativitas pada materi Sumber Daya Alam.Pada kondisi awal tindakan kemampuan siswa dari 27 orang siswa hanya ada 7 siswa yang memperoleh nilai cukup dengan persentase sebesar 25.93% dan sebanyak 22 siswa memperoleh nilai kurang atau tidak kreatif dengan persentase 81.48%. Setelah dilakukan Siklus I terdapat 18 siswa dengan persentase 66.67% yang memperoleh peningkatan kreativitas dalam pembelajaran. Sebanyak 9 siswa tidak mengalami peningkatan kreativitas dalam pembelajaran dengan persentase 33.33%. Pada Siklus II tingkat kreativitas siswa meningkat dibandingkan pada Siklus I yang hanya 66.67% menjadi sebesar 85.18%. Dan tidak terdapat siswa tidak kreatif pada Siklus II. Oleh Karena itu dapat dilihat peningkatan yang dialami mulai dari kondisi awal ke Siklus I persentase kreativitas sebesar 40.74%. Sedangkan peningkatan yang dialami pada Siklus I ke Siklus II menjadi 18.51%.Dari hasil uraian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Mind Mapping dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa pada pelajaran SAINS kelas IV SD Subsidi Budi Rahayu Percut Sei Tuan T.A 2011/2012.
