Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri 104233 Bandar Labuhan kec. Tanjung Morawa, dengan jenis penelitian yaitu “Penelitian Tindakan Kelas”. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVb yang berjumlah 49 siswa yang terdiri dari 24 orang laki-laki dan 25 orang perempuan, sedangkan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran Think Pair Share yang memberikan kesempatan kepada siswauntuk berpikir, menjawab dan saling membantu satu dengan yang lainnya. Dan alat yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembar observasi dan tes. Observasi dilakukan untuk mengamati aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran dan tes diberikan untuk melihat tingkat keberhasilan siswa dari suatu materi ajar yang disampaikan.Masalah yang dihadapi dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam menguasai materi pembelajaran IPA dikarenakan dalam proses pembelajaran guru hanya berpotok pada materi dan menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga siswa kurang aktif dalam belajar IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 104233 Bandar Labuhan Kec. Tanjung Morawa T.A 2011/2012.Hipotesis yang diajukan pada penelitian ini adalah “Motivasi belajar siswa pada materi pokok sumber daya alam akan meningkat, jika model pembelajaran Think Pair Share diimplementasikan dengan benar pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 104233 Bandar Labuhan T.A 2011/2012.Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada kondisi awal terdapat 31 orang siswa dari 49 orang siswa atau sekitar (63,26%) yang tidak termotivasi dan sebanyak 18 orang siswa dari 49 orang siswa atau sekitar (36,73%) yang termotivasi. Kemudian pada siklus I terdapat 26 orang siswa dari 49 orang siswa atau sekitar (53%) yang termotivasi dan sebanyak 23 orang siswa dari 49 orang siswa atau sekitar (47%) yang belum termotivasi. Pada siklus II terdapat 45 orang siswa dari 49 orang siswa atau sekitar (92%) yang sudah termotivasi dengan baik, dan sebanyak 4 orang siswa atau sekitar (8%) yang tidak termotivasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitiaan mulai dari kondisi awal, siklus I dan siklus II sudah terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPA siswa pada materi pokok Sumber Daya Alam di kelas IV SD Negeri 104233 Bandar Labuhan T.A 2011/2012.
