Abstract

Yang menjadi masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran PKn khususnya pada pokok bahasan Kebebasan Berorganisasi, dimana guru kurang memberikan motivasi pada saat proses belajar, nilai PKn yang didapat siswa rendah, siswa kurang aktif selama proses pembelajaran dan guru masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional yaitu ceramah, tanya jawab dan menghapal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran PKn melalui metode kooperatif tipe NHT di kelas V SDN 101846 Kutalimbaru Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012.Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 101846 Kutalimbaru sebanyak 40 orang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian dilaksanakan 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat komponen yaitu : perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi / evaluasi. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan angket. Indikator motivasinya adalah : 1) ulet menghadapi tugas, 2) menunjukan keinginan belajar yang tinggi, 3) mau mengeluarkan dan mempertahankan pendapat, 4) memiliki sifat Ego Involvement dan 5) memiliki sikap rasa tau hasil.Dari hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan angket. Siswa yang termotivasi rendah pada siklus I sebanyak 8 orang (20%) menurun menjadi 2 orang (5%) pada siklus II. Siswa yang motivasi sedang pada siklus I sebanyak 9 orang (22,5%) menurun menjadi 3 orang (7,5%) pada siklus II. Siswa yang motivasinya tinggi pada siklus I sebanyak 14 orang (35%) menurun menjadi sebanyak 5 orang (12,5%) pada siklus II. Siswa yang motivasinya sangat tinggi pada siklus I sebanyak 9 orang (22,5%) meningkat menjadi 30 orang (75%) pada siklus II.Dan dari hasil penelitian dengan observasi adalah indikator motivasi ulet menghadapi tugas : pada siklus I sebesar 34% meningkat menjadi 63,25% pada siklus II. menunjukkan keinginan belajar yang tinggi : pada siklus I sebesar 52,25% meningkat menjadi 79% pada siklus II. (3) mau mengeluarkan dan mempertahankan pendapat : pada siklus I sebesar 54,87% meningkat menjadi 71,5% pada siklus II. (4) memiliki sikap ego involvement : pada siklus I sebesar 50,7% meningkat menjadi 71,5% pada siklus II. (5) dan memiliki rasa ingin tahu hasil : pada siklus I sebesar 61,25% meningkat menjadi 82,25% pada siklus II.Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran PKn pokok bahasan kebebasan berorganisasi kelas V SD Negeri 101846 Kutalimbaru Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012.
