Abstract

Value honesty is one of the characters that have kept the value of honesty is development as universal values that must be upheld by all citizens around the world in the life of the nation. Character emotional honesty consists of: attention to the right according to conscience, to be authentic (do not use the mask of life) and be empathetic. Development of value honesty should start from the family and continued on in the school/college. Emotional honesty of character can be developed through four steps: acknowledge feelings, examine beliefs about emotions, take control of your feelings and learn to express emotions in an honest and convincing yourself back about what will happen if emissions were never expressed honestly.
