Abstract
Pengembangan instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS berupa tes disusun berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan siswa dan guru pada mata pelajaran ekonomi tahun ajaran 2020/2021 pada kurikulum 2013. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS yang valid dan praktis dalam kegiatan pembelajaran ekonomi serta efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R and D) dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang telah disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan penelitian. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket lembar validasi dari ahli evaluasi dan ahli materi, angket tanggapan guru, dan angket respon siswa. Untuk teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif berupa analisis validasi dari ahli, analisis tanggapan guru, dan analisis respon siswa. Sedangkan untuk analisis kuantitatif menggunakan analisis uji validasi, daya beda dan tingkat kesukaran instrumen, serta analisis data eksperimen untuk meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil validasi ahli evaluasi untuk soal pilihan ganda sebesar 88% berada dalam kategori sangat baik, untuk soal uraian sebesar 87% berada dalam kategori sangat baik, hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 84% berada dalam kategori sangat baik, hasil validasi tanggapan guru yaitu sebesar 88% sangat baik dan validasis respon siswa sebesar 91% berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian untuk kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan Instrumen Penilaian HOTS adalah sebesar 51,2% berada dalam kategori kurang efektif dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas XI IPS SMA Swasta Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan TP. 2020/2021. Sedangkan untuk kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan instrumen penilaian berbasis LOTS adalah 27% berada dalam kategori tidak efektif dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas XI IPS SMA Swasta Sultan Iskandar Muda Medan TP. 2020/2021.
