Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui : (1) Apakah hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan penggunaan multimedia Microsoft PowerPoint dalam pembelajaran menulis lebih tinggi dibandingkan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran menulis tanpa multimedia, (2) Apakah hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan penggunaan multimedia Microsoft PowerPoint dalam pembelajaran menulis lebih tinggi dibandingkan aktivitas belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran menulis tanpa multimedia, (3) Hubungan antara penggunaan multimedia Microsoft PowerPoint yang dipadukan dengan pembelajaran menulis terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP pada pokok bahasan Perubahan Fisika dan Kimia (4) Efektifitas penggunaan multimedia Microsoft PowerPoint dalam pembelajaran menulis pada pokok bahasan Perubahan Fisika dan Kimia. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VII SMP pada semester ganjil pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampel. Sampel penelitian yang terdiri dari dua kelas, kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran menulis dengan multimedia Microsoft PowerPoint dan kelas kontrol yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran menulis tanpa multimedia dengan jumlah sampel 60 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa tes hasil belajar dan kuisioner aktivitas belajar. Uji coba tes menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2007 dan dari 40 butir soal yang diuji cobakan terdapat 30 butir soal yang valid. Uji reliabilitas diperoleh R11 sebesar 0,940 (sangat tinggi). Teknik analisa data dilakukan dengan Independet Sample t test dan General Linier Model Univariate untuk mengetahui interaksi aktivitas terhadap hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran menulis yang menggunakan multimedia Microsoft PowerPoint lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan dari hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran menulis tanpa multimedia (sig. = 0,001 < 0,05) (2) Aktivitas belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran menulis yang menggunakan multimedia Microsoft PowerPoint lebih tinggi secara signifikan dari aktivitas belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran menulis tanpa multimedia (sig. = 0,000 < 0,05) (3) Terdapat interaksi model pembelajaran dengan aktivitas belajar dalam memengaruhi hasil belajar siswa (sig. = 0,006 < 0,05) dan (4) Penggunaan multimedia presentasi dalam pembelajaran menulis yang menggunakan Microsoft Powerpoint menghasilkan efektifitas pembelajaran yang baik yang dapat dilihat dari ketercapaian nilai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) siswa sebesar 70 persen pada kelas eksperimen.
