Abstract
Pelajaran matematika memerlukan beberapa aspek untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran, diantaranya adalah kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan kreativitas. Untuk itu perlu dicari suatu alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan memberikan kesempatan pada siswa lebih aktif. Pendekatan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share (TPS) merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam belajar matematika, sehingga pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan kreativitas matematika siswa meningkat.Penelitian ini merupakan studi tindakan kelas di SMA Al-Azhar Medan, dengan subjek populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas X-A SMA Al-Azhar Medan, sebagai objek penelitian adalah kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran dan aktivitas siswa dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran serta kemampuan siswa dalam pemahaman konsep dan kreativitas siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan kooperatif tipe TPS. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kreativitas matematika siswa. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share (TPS) dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa,penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share (TPS) dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kreativitas matematika siswa, hasil belajar Matematika (kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika) siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share (TPS) meningkat. Hasil evaluasi pada akhir siklus I menunjukkan skor rata-rata kelas mencapai 34,16 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 30%. Pada siklus II rata-rata kelas mencapai 77,16 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 90%. Dengan demikian terjadi peningkatan pada persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 60%. Hasil belajar Matematika (kemampuan kreativitas matematika) siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share (TPS) meningkat. Hasil evaluasi pada akhir siklus I menunjukkan skor rata-rata kelas mencapai 41,66 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 40%. Pada siklus II rata-rata kelas mencapai 84,16 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 96,66%. Dengan demikian terjadi peningkatan pada persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 56,66%.Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kooperatif tipe TPS merupakan suatu alternatif bagi guru matematika dalam menyajikan pelajaran matematika, sudah seharusnya pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kooperatif tipe TPS disosialisasikan penggunaannya di lembaga unit masing-masing sekolah.
