Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: 1) tingkat metakognisi siswa dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, 2) jenis-jenis kesulitan metakognisi yang dialami siswa dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, 3) proses jawaban metakognisi siswa dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis metakognisi siswa dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada pembelajaran problem-based learning. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA-2 MAS Al-Asy’Ariyah Medan Krio. Subjek yang dikenai wawancara mendalam terdiri dari lima kategori: yaitu satu orang siswa berkemampuan tinggi, satu orang siswa berkemampuan sedang , satu orang siswa berkemampuan rendah, satu orang siswa dengan jawaban paling banyak salah, dan satu orang siswa dengan jawaban unik. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah metakognisi siswa dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada model pembelajaran problem-based learning. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa: 1) siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi berada pada tingkat metakognisi strategic use, siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah sedang berada pada tingkat metakognisi aware use, siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah rendah berada pada tingkat metakognisi tacit use. 2) jenis-jenis kesulitan metakognisi siswa dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah berdasarkan kesulitan fakta, konsep, prinsip dan prosedur. 3) proses jawaban siswa dengan tingkat metakognisi strategic use berada pada kategori baik dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah, proses jawaban siswa dengan tingkat metakognisi aware use berada pada kategori cukup baik dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah, proses jawaban siswa dengan tingkat metakognisi tacit use berada pada kategori kurang baik dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah.
