Abstract

This study aims to determine the percentage of students' misconceptions through the use of concept maps as an attempt to analyze student misconceptions. This research was conducted in class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Pantai Cermin. The sample used is total sampling obtained 90 students from three classes. The material used to analyze misconceptions is the material that has been studied, namely the concept of the nervous system in humans. The results obtained show that the average concept map is included in the low criteria. The low students' concept maps are caused by
misconceptions experienced by these students and caused by the students themselves, because in making this concept map there are still many difficulties experienced by students in determining and laying out concepts with the right conjunctions. There is a distribution of students' knowledge statements with an average misconception 8,% and do not know the concept of 69.5%, so that the average student who knows the concept is only 22.5%. The subconcept that gives the largest percentage of misconceptions, namely the concept of unconscious nerves with a percentage of
51%, in the compiler concept of the human nervous system with a percentage of 34.4%, and in the nervous system subconceptions 30.9%. Thus, it can be stated that an effective concept map is used to analyze student misconceptions on the concept of the nervous system in humans.
