THE EFFECTS OF PLANTING MEDIA AND THE USE HYPONEX FERTILIZER ON THE GROWTH OF MOON ORCHID PLANLETS (Phalaenopsis amabilis) IN ACCLIMATIZATION STAGE

The aims of the research was to know The Effects of Planting Media and The Use Hyponex Fertilizer on the Growth of Moon Orchid Planlets (Phalaenopsis amabilis) in Acclimatization Stage, Research was done in Screenhouse Tissue Cultur Laboratory of the Agriculture and
Fisheries Office of Medan City, Jl. Keramat Indah No. 4, Medan Denai. This research used Completety Randomized Design (CRD) factorial with two factor. The fisrt factor was planting media, consisted of three stages treatment: coconut fibers (M1), ferns (M2),cocopeats (M3). The
second factor was hyponex fertilizer, cosisted of three stages treatment: 0 g/l (H0), 1 g/l (H1), 2 g/l
(H2). Total of combination treatment 9 with total of repetition 4, so that total all the unit experiment are 36 unit experiment. The observed parameters were the number of leaves, height and planlets root length. Proved which to obtain analysis with varians analysis, after wards to
continue with test Duncan. The results of the statistical analysis showed that the planting medium had a very real effect on the number of leaves and did not give a significant effect on the height and length of the plantlet roots. Hyponex fertilizer has a significant effect on the number of leaves and plantlets and gives a very significant effect on the length of the roots but the treatment
interactions (planting media and Hyponex fertilizer) have no significant effect on the number of leaves, plantlet height and root length. Good media is cocopeat and a good concentration of Hyponex fertilizer is 1 g / l of water.
