Abstract

Penelitian ini berttjuan untuk tnengetahoi: 1) perbedaan antara basil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan basil belajar matematika siswa dengan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori; 2) perbedaan basil belajar rnatematika yang mempunyai thotivasi berprestasi tinggi dengan siswa yang mempunyai motivasi berprestasi rendah; dan 3) interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dengan motivasi berprestasi terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.Penetitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengab Pertama (SMP) Negeti 1 i Medan pada semester I Tabun ajaran 2008/2009. populasinya adalah seluruh kelas VIII sebanyak 359 orang, sarnpelnya adalah kelas VIII3 sebanyak 40 orang dan kelas VIII, sebanyak 40 orang. Instrurnen yang digunakan untuk mengumpul data adalah tes hash belajar dan angket motivasi berprestasi. Metode pelitian menggunakan metode Quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian faktorial 2 x 2. Teknik analisis data menggunakan ANAVA dua jalur pada taraf signifikan 4i -= 0,05.Hasil analisis penelitian menunujukkan bahwa: I) basil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih tinggi daripada basil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar derigan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori (Fhit,,„3 4,698 5 Fmbe — 3,96); 2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar matematika siswa yang mempunyai motivasi prestasi tinggi dengan siswa yang mempunyai motivasi berprestasi rendali, (Fhit,„s = 27,9 Fubei 3,96), dan 3) terdapat interaksi annul strategi pernbelajaran dan motivasi berprestasi ter-hadap basil belajar matematika siswa (Fhiking = 12,45 > Fiebel3,96). Basil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebitt balk diajarkan kepada siswa yang mempunyai motivasi berprestasi tinggi dan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori balk digunakan kepada siswa yang mempunyai motivasi berprestasi rendah dan terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan motivasi berprestasi. lmpliksi dari basil penelitian ird rnenunjukkark bahwa siswa yang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih tinggi basil belajarnya daripada siswa yang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori. Siswa yang mempunyai motivasi berprestasi tinggi mendapat hasii belajar lebih tinggi Win diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Siswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi rendah mendapat hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi bile diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori
