Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui kemampuan menulis pantun siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Dharma Bakti Lubuk Pakam Tahun Pembelajaran 2017/2018 sebelum menggunakan model ARIAS. (2) Untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis pantun siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Dharma Bakti Lubuk Pakam Tahun Pembelajaran 2017/2018 setelah menggunakan model ARIAS. (3) Untuk Menjelaskan keefektifan model ARIAS dalam pembelajaran menulis pantun pada siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Dharma Bakti Lubuk Pakam Tahun Pembelajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Dharma Bakti Lubuk Pakam Tahun Pembelajaran 2017/2018 sebanyak 64 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 32 orang, diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa nilai kemampuan menulis pantun tanpa model pembelajaran dan menggunakan model pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran menulis pantun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diteliti Pertama, kemampuan menulis pantun tanpa model pembelajaran ARIAS siswa kelas VII SMP Swsta Dharma Bakti Lubuk Pakam berada pada kualifikasi cukup (c) dengan rata-rata 73,46. Kedua, kemampuan menulis pantun dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ARIAS siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Dharma Bakti Lubuk Pakam berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik (a) dengan nilai rata-rata 87,06. Ketiga, dari hasil uji “t” terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran ARIAS siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Dharma Bakti Lubuk Pakam dengan thitung > ttabel yang menunjukan Ha diterima. Kemampuan menulis pantun dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ARIAS lebih baik dari pada yang tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Asessment, Satisfaction) terhadap kemampuan menulis pantun kelas VII SMP Swasta Dharma Bakti Lubuk Pakam,
