Abstract

Beberapa hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep jaring-jaring kubus. Khususnya dalam hal menemukan jaring-jaring kubus yang bervariasi. Siswa dapat lebih memahami suatu konsep jika dilibatkan dalam aktivitas pembelajaran. Selain itu kesadaran siswa dalam memantau proses berpikirnya sangat penting dilakukan agar materi pembelajaran dapat bermakna bagi siswa dan tersimpan dalam ingatan jangka panjang. Kesadaran dalam memantau proses berpikir sendiri dapat merangsang tumbuh kembang kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi bagi siswa, contohnya seperti kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif sangat penting dimiliki oleh setiap individu karena melalui kemampuan ini manusia dapat membuat kehidupan yang lebih baik daripada masa sekarang. Dalam pembelajaran matematika kemampuan ini dapat diasah melalui pembelajaran yang melibatkan siswa secara langsung. Siswa perlu diberi kesempatan untuk belajar matematika melalui serangkaian aktivitas pada saat belajar matematika yang dirancang sejalan dengan alur berpikirnya. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Al – Washliyah 1 Medan pada materi jaring-jaring kubus dengan menggunakan pendekatan metakognitif; (2) Mengetahui tahapan proses berpikir kreatif siswa kelas VIII SMP Al – Washliyah 1 pada materi jaring-jaring kubus dengan menggunakan pendekatan metakognitif; dan (3) Menemukan lintasan belajar yang dilalui oleh siswa kelas VIII SMP Al – Washliyah 1 Medan pada materi jaring-jaring kubus dengan menggunakan pendekatan metakognitif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah design research. Serangkaian aktivitas yang telah dirancang di HLT diterapkan dan dikembangkan untuk memperoleh pemahaman mengenai materi jaring-jaring kubus. Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) yang telah dirancang pada tahap preparing for the experiment dibandingkan dengan Actual Learning Trajectory (lintasan belajar yang sesungguhnya) yang terjadi pada proses pembelajaran (teaching experiment). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian Siklus 1 adalah 10 orang siswa kelas VIII-2 SMP Al–Washliyah 1 Medan, dan subjek siklus 2 adalah 23 orang siswa kelas VIII-1. Tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dibagi berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dapat dikelompokkan menjadi 5 tingkatan, yaitu sangat kreatif sebanyak 2 orang, kreatif 8 orang, cukup kreatif 3, kurang kreatif 5 orang, dan tidak kreatif sebnyak 5 orang. Tahapan proses berpikir kreatif yang dilalui siswa ada sebanyak 4 tahapan yaitu persiapan, inkubasi, iluminasi, dan verifikasi. Pada masing-masing tahapan proses berpikir kreatif siswa melakukan hal-hal berikut: (1) berusaha membaca, memahami, menanya, berpikir, berdiskusi, mengumpulkan data, menganalisis; (2) mengingat pengetahuan sebelumnya, berusaha mencari ide, merenung, berdiam diri, membayangkan ide, bercerita dengan teman; (3) memunculkan ide, memilih, menetapkan, menyesuaikan ide, menerapkan ide, mengubah ide, (4) mencocokkan, mengecek ulang, membandingkan, mencari kebenaran, berpikir, memeriksa, mengubah, menerapkan kembali. Kemudian lintasan belajar siswa dalam memahami materi jaring-jaring kubus sebagai berikut: (1) mengingat pengetahuan tentang bangun datar persegi; (2) mengonstruksi bangun datar persegi menjadi bangun ruang kubus; (3) mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur dan sifat-sifat kubus; (4) menemukan jaring-jaring kubus dengan cara menggunting rusuk-rusuk kotak kemasan bekas yang berbentuk kubus tanpa ada bagian yang terlepas; (5) menemukan jaring-jaring kubus menggunakan Media Kubus Guling Berwarna; dan (6) membedakan pola mana yang merupakan jaring-jaring kubus dan mana yang bukan.
