Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan proses sains siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Scientific Inquiry lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional, untuk mengetahui keterampilan proses sains siswa yang memiliki rasa ingin tahu diatas rata-rata lebih baik daripada siswa yang memiliki rasa ingin tahu dibawah rata-rata, untuk mengetahui interaksi antara model pembelajaran Scientific Inquiry dengan rasa ingin tahu terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain two group pretes postes design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Medan Semester I tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil secara Cluster Random Class, yaitu sebanyak 2 kelas yang berjumlah 72 orang. Kelas XI MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Scientific Inquiry terdiri dari 36 orang siswa, sedangkan kelas XI MIA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional terdiri dari 36 orang siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari dua jenis yaitu instrumen keterampilan proses sains yang terdiri dari 10 soal dalam bentuk essay tes, dan instrumen rasa ingin tahu terdiri dari 20 soal dalam kuisioner. Data yang dihasilkan, dianalisis dengan menggunakan Anava dua jalur. Nilai rata-rata Postes Keterampilan Proses Sains dengan model pembelajaran Scientific Inquiry sebesar 72,84 sedangkan model pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 72,29. Hal ini bahwa pembelajaran dengan Scientific Inquiry dengan rasa ingin tahu lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran konvensional.
