Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui: (1) tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam matematika ditinjau berdasarkan gaya belajar setelah pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis masalah; (2) kesalahan dan kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam matematika ditinjau dari gaya belajar setelah pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 42 Medan kelas VIII-A yang berjumlah 35 orang, kemudian diangkat untuk subjek wawancara berdasarkan gaya belajar Kolb & Kolb yaitu akomodasi, divergen, asimilasi, dan konvergen berdasarkan tingkat yang diperoleh berdasarkan indikator dan aspek kesalahan. Adapun hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) terdapat 7 siswa (20%) memiliki gaya belajar akomodasi dengan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam matematika untuk kategori sedang berjumlah 3 orang siswa, dan kategori rendah berjumlah 4 orang siswa; terdapat 13 siswa (37,14%) memiliki gaya belajar divergen dengan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam matematika untuk kategori tinggi berjumlah 3 orang siswa, kategori sedang berjumlah 4 orang siswa, dan kategori rendah berjumlah 6 orang; terdapat 10 siswa (28,57%) memiliki gaya belajar asimilasi dengan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam matematika untuk kategori sedang berjumlah 2 orang siswa, dan kategori rendah berjumlah 8 orang; terdapat 5 siswa (14,29%) memiliki gaya belajar konvergen dengan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam matematika untuk kategori sedang berjumlah 3 orang siswa, dengan kategori rendah berjumlah 2 orang siswa; (2) untuk kesulitan siswa dengan gaya belajar akomodasi, siswa mengalami kesulitan pada aspek konsep, prosedur, dan prinsip; untuk kesulitan siswa dengan gaya belajar divergen, siswa mengalami kesulitan pada aspek konsep dan prinsip; untuk kesulitan siswa dengan gaya belajar asimilasi, siswa mengalami kesulitan pada aspek fakta, konsep, dan prinsip; untuk kesalahan dan kesulitan siswa dengan gaya belajar konvergen, siswa mengalami kesulitan pada aspek prosedur dan prinsip.
