Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di kelas V SD Negeri 105292 Bandar Klippa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Eksperimen dengan desain penelitian kontrol grup pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V yang berjumlah 40 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas VA berjumla 20 siswa dan kelas VB berjumlah 20 siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes esai. Tes dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali yaitu Pretest dan Posttest. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, kedua model pembelajaran memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Nilai rata-rata pretest 47,7 dan posttest 75,75 untuk kelas eksperimen sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol nilai rata-rata pretest 54,6 sedangkan posttest 56,56. Terdapat di kelas eksperimen sebanyak 4 siswa (20%) menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat tinggi, 9 siswa (45%) kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi, 6 siswa (30%) kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang, 1 siswa (5%) kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah. Kemudian di kelas kontrol terdapat sebanyak 4 siswa (20%) menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat tinggi, 2 siswa (10%) kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi, 7 siswa (35%) kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang, 7 siswa (35%) kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah. Dari hasil perhitungan uji-t didapatkan thitung > ttabel dimana besar nilai thitung= 9,62 dan nilai ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% adalah 1,686. Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dan dari analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan berpikir kritis pada siswa di kelas eksperimen yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model contextual teaching and learning (CTL) dibandingkan dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa di kelas kontrol yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran langsung. Untuk itu disarankan agar guru dapat menggunakan model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning (CTL) dalam pembelajaran
