Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar kearsipan kelas X SMK TamanSiswa Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar kearsipan yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning lebih tinggi dibanding hasil belajar kearsipan yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Word Square pada siswa kelas X SMK TamanSiswa Medan T.P 2017/2018. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK TamanSiswa Medan T.P 2017/2018. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X AP SMK TamanSiswa Medan yang berjumlah 90 siswa yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 kelas, yaitu X AP1 yang berjumlah 30 orang pada kelas eksperimen I dan X AP2 yang berjumlah 30 orang pada kelas eksperimen II. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar kearsipan dalam bentuk pilihan berganda sebanyak 16 soal. Teknik analisi data yang diperoleh terlebih terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji persyaratan yaitu dianalisa melalui uji normalitas, homogenitas dan uji hipotesis digunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan hasil belajar kearsipan yang diajar dengan model Word Square. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning adalah nilai rata-rata pre test 38,16, dengan nilai tertinggi 50 dan terendah 20 serta simpangan baku 6,88 dan post test sebesar 82,83 dengan nilai tertinggi 95 dan terendah 70 serta simpangan baku 5,2. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model Word Square adalah nilai rata pre test 37,5 dengan nilai tertinggi 45 dan nilai terendah 15 serta simpanga baku 6,66 dan post test sebesar 76,66 dengan nilai tertinggi 90 dan nilai terendah 60 serta simpangan baku 6,60. Hasil pengujian hipotesis yang diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu 3,9950 > 1,661 pada taraf signifikan 95% dan α = 0,05 dengan kata lain hipotesis diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar kearsipan yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning lebih tinggi dibanding hasil belajar kearsipan yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Word Square pada siswa kelas X SMK TamanSiswa Medan T.P 2017/2018.
