Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran korespondensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share terhadap hasil belajar siswa juga untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share pada mata pelajaran Korespondensi SMK Taman Siswa Medan T.A 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X jurusan Administrasi Perkantoran yang berjumlah 60 orang. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan dari populasi yaitu kelas X AP 1 (Eksperimen I) yang berjumlah 30 orang dan X AP 2 (Eksperimen II) yang berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah objektif test berbentuk pilihan berganda yang berjumlah 20 soal dengan 5 pilihan jawaban. Hasil analisis data setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan masing-masing model pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen I sebesar 77,5 dan standar deviasi sebesar 7,39. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen II adalah sebesar 85 dan standar deviasi sebesar 6,29. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik uji-t dengan dk = n1 + n2 – 2 pada taraf signifikan 95% α = 0,05. Dari perhitungan hipotesis diperoleh thitung sebesar 6,043 dan ttabel sebesar 1,6713. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel (6,043 > 1,6713) maka hipotesis diterima. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Dan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share lebih tinggi dengan persentase peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 53,57% pada mata pelajaran Korespondensi Bahasa Indonesia kelas X SMK Taman Siswa Medan T.A 2016/2017.
