Abstract

Permasalahan yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru, rendahnya aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPA, pemberian perhatian guru kepada perbedaan individu kurang,dan Kurangnya penggunaan media yang di pakai guru pada saat proses belajar mengajar. Sehingga peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen di kelas IV SD Negeri 101772 Tanjung Selamat. Dimana metode eksperimen adalah metode yang melibatkan siswa secara langsung untuk mengamati proses pembelajaran, bertanya, berdiskusi, dan membuat jaringan kelompok. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiement. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 101772 Tanjung selamat Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 101772 Tanjung selamat yang berjumlah 44 siswa, yang terbagi atas 22 siswa kelas IV-A dan 22 siswa kelas IV-B. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan cara teknik purposive sampling mengambil subjek bukan berdasarkan atas strata, random, atau daerah tetapi didasarkan atas adanya tujuan tertentu, yaitu dengan kelas IV-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Sebelum penelitian dilakukan maka peneliti melakukan uji validitas, reabilitas, dan taraf kesukaran. Dari analisis data diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: Diperoleh nilai rata-rata pree test siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebelum diberi perlakuan 34,09 dan di kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata pree test siswa sebesar 31,81 dan hasil belajar siswa setelah diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan Metode eksperimen sebesar 76,04 dan di kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata 73,40. Dari analisis data dapat dilihat bahwa peningkatan pada kelas eksperimen mencapai 76% dan pada kelas kontrol terjadi peningkatan 70%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan penggunaan metode eksperimen terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Dengan demikian hipotesis berbunyi : “ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada penggunaan metode eksperimen terhadap hasil belajar IPA Kelas IV SD Negeri 101772 Tanjung Selamat Percut Sei Tuan T.A 2016/2017”.
