Abstract

In the Beginning, gasification is an endothermal process, where the energy required comes from the system itself. Energy derived from combustion process by using excess air. The quality and composition of producer gas is less good with this method. Reactor designed to accommodate the autothermal biomass gasification process, whereby the energy required for gasification process comes from outside the system. Thus the reactor does not require air as gasification agent and can he replaced with steam or oxygen or mixtures thereof to improve the quality and composition of gas production. The reactor is designed to
accommodate the process by using two concentric tubes. Both tubes are connected by small holes at the bottom and the top of the reactor thus heat carrier particles can he circulated internally and continuously throughout the process.
