Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan: (1) Untuk memperoleh bahan ajar berdasarkan pendekatan berbasis masalah yang valid, praktis dan efektif terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. (2) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dengan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan berbasis masalah. Tahapan penelitian ini mengadaptasi model penelitian pengembangan instruksional model 4D oleh Thiagarajan, yaitu define, design, develop dan disseminate. Desain uji coba pada penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest dan posttest design. Subjek penelitian pada uji keterbacaan adalah siswa kelas IX-1. Subjek pada uji lapangan adalah siswa kelas VIII-1. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan 4 jenis instrument yaitu lembar validitas, lembar observasi, angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahan ajar yang valid, praktis dan efektif. (1) Rata-rata total validitas untuk RPP: 4,28; LAS:4,41; Buku guru:4,41;Buku siswa: 4,08.Tes hasil belajar:Valid, hasil validasi ini menunjukan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan layak digunakan (memenuhi kriteria 4 ≤ Va < 5). (2) Kepraktisan dilihat dari uji coba keterbacaan dengan hasil; lembar observasi keterlaksanaan perangkat 3,28, respon siswa dan respon guru terhadap perangkat pembelajaran masing-masing 3,06 dan 3,27. Hasil uji keterbacaan ini menunjukan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan praktis (memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan). (3) Efektifitas dilihat dari uji coba lapangan yaitu: ketuntasan belajar klasikal ≥ 85%, kemampuan guru menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran dalam kategori baik (3,50-4,49), dan aktivitas siswa berada pada kriteria batasan keefektifan pembelajaran. Pada uji coba lapangan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa, setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan bahan ajar dengan pendekatan berbasis masalah. (3) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan self efficacy siswa terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan berbasis masalah.
