Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Untuk mengetahui kendala-kendala apa saja yang dihadapi guru bidang studi dalam mengajarkan pembelajaran IPS Terpadu di SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Parbuluan dan (2) Untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah upaya guru bidang studi dalam mengatasi kendala pembelajaran IPS Terpadu di SMP Negeri se-kecamatan Parbuluan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru bidang studi IPS Terpadu di SMP Negeri Se-Kecamatan Parbuluan sebanyak 12 orang dan sekaligus menjadi sampel penelitian (total sampling). Alat pengumpul data yang dipakai adalah angket, observasi, dan wawancara, dianalisis secara dekriptif kualitatif. (1) Sesuai dengan hasil wawancara bahwa salah satu kendala utama dalam pembelajaran IPS Terpadu juga adalah dalam hal menyampaikan materi yang tidak sesuai dengan latar belakang pendidikan guru bidang studi IPS Terpadu.Hasil penelitian berdasarkan angket menunjukkan bahwa persentase kendala dalam mengajarkan IPS Terpadu adalah 58,22% yang termasuk dalam kategori mengalami kendala. Dimana kendala utama yang dialami guru adalah dalam melaksanakan alat evaluasi dalam bentuk portofolio (91,66%), kemudian dalam merancang media pembelajaran untuk mencapai kompetensi dalam mengajarkan IPS Terpadu (83,33 %), dalam mencari sumber belajar tambahan seperti pemanfaatan internet untuk tambahan pendukung materi (75,00%), mengaitkan antar materi dari empat disiplin ilmu (geografi, ekonomi, sejarah, sosiologi) dalam tema pembelajaran IPS Terpadu (75,00%), dalam melibatkan peserta didik mencari informasi yang luas sesuai dengan materi dalam IPS Terpadu (75,00%), dalam mendorong peserta didik untuk menganalisis dan menyelesaikan masalah sesuai dengan tema pembelajaran IPS terpadu (75,00%), dalam menemukan alat-alat maupun media pembelajaran IPS Terpadu yang mencakup empat disiplin ilmu yaitu geografi, sosiologi, ekonomi, dan sejarah (83,33%), dan dalam memperoleh sejumlah sumber belajar yang sesuai dengan standar kompetensi IPS Terpadu dari berbagai disiplin ilmu (geografi, sejarah, ekonomi, dan sosiologi) (75,00%). (2) Upaya yang dilakukan guru berdasarkan hasil observasi termasuk dalam kategori baik (73,43%) yaitu dalam proses pembelajaran guru selalu berusaha menemukan solusi atas kendala yang dihadapi. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara ada dua upaya yang paling utama yang dilakukan oleh guru yaitu selalu aktif dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) untuk menyampaikan berbagai permasalahan dan menemukan solusi secara bersama-sama dan memanfaatkan pelatihan yang diberikan Dinas Pendidikan untuk meningkatkan profesionalitas guru.
