Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajarmenggunakan perkakas tangan siswa antara siswa yang menggunakan modelpembelajaran konstruktivis dengan siswa model pembelajaran konvensional.Selanjutnya penelitian juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajarmenggunakan perkakas tangan antara siswa yang memiliki bakat teknik tinggidengan yang memiliki bakat teknik rendah. Selain dari itu penelitian ini jugabertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada interaksi antara variable model pembelajarandengan bakat teknik dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar menggunakan perkakastangan. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh kelas I bidang keahlian teknik mesinSMKN 1 Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang, sedangkan sampel di Lmbilsebanyak 2 kelas yang terdiri dari I MP! dan I MP2 secara random.Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester I di SMKN 1 Percut Sei Tuan tahunpelajaran 2006/2007. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan rancanganfakiorial 2 x 2, teknik analisis data menggunakan ANAVA 2 x 2. Hasil belajarmenggunakan perkakas tangan diukur dengan menggunakan instrument dibatasipada ranah kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor.Hasil penelitian nienunjukkan bahwa: (I) tidal( ada perbedaan hasil belajarmenggunakan perkakas tangan siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajarankonstruktivis dan siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensionaldiperoleh Fhitung=3,22 < Ftabel = 4,08, (2) Siswa yang memiliki bakat teknik tinggimenunjukkan perbedaan hasil belajar yang nyata dibandingkan dengan siswa yangmemiliki bakat teknik rendah, dapat dilihat dari Fhitung = 22,35 > Ftabel = 4,08 (3)Ada interaksi yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran dengan bakat teknik dalamrnempengaruhi hasil belajar menggunakan perkakas tangan siswa hal ini ditunjukkandengan nilai Fhitung = 6,62 > Ftabel = 4,08.Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dalam pembelajaran menggunakanperkakas tangan untuk kelas I SMKN I Percut Sei Tuan, model pembelajarankonvensional lebili unggul meningkatkan hasil belajar menge,unakan perkakastangan dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konstruktivis. tfntuk siswa yangmemiliki bakat teknik rendah lebih cook digunakan model pembelajarankonvensional, sedangkan bagi siswa yang merniliki bakat teknik tinggi dapatmenggunakan model pembelajaran konstruktivis maupun konvensional.
