Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar korespondensi siswa kelas XI AP SMK Taman Siswa Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar korespondensi yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic lebih tinggi dibanding hasil belajar korespondensi yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning siswa kelas XI AP SMK Taman Siswa Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di AP SMK Taman Siswa Medan yang beralamat di Jl. Sabarudin No 8 Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI AP AP SMK Taman Siswa Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 53 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Total Samplingyang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen 1 dan eksperimen 2 yang masing-masing berjumlah 27 dan 26 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar. Tes tersebut berupa pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal dengan lima option.dimana sebelum tes ini diberikan pada sampel sesungguhnya, maka tes ini di uji cobakan terlebih dahulu untuk melihat tingkat validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukran soal. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan yaitu menentukan rata-rata hitung, standar deviasi, uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas dan pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan Uji-t pada taraf α = 0,05. Hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre test dan post test dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning = 39,70 dan 72,22 dan hasil rata-rata pre test dan post test model pembelajaran Visualization, Auditory, Kiniesthetic = 46 dan 85. Dari pengujian hipotesis dilakukan uji t pada tingkat kepercayaan 95% pada taraf nyata α = 0,05 dan dk (n1+n2)-2 diperoleh thitung > ttable (6,7569 >2,009) maka hipotesis penelitian ini diterima. Dapat disimpulakan hasil belajar korespondensi yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibanding hasil belajar korespondensi yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada siswa kelas XI AP SMK Taman Siswa Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2016/2017.
